How much does mastering cost?
Mastering with 6IXVI is £150 per song for independent artists, with 2 revisions included. Signed and label releases are £260 per song.
Can you master a song someone else mixed?
Yes. Mastering is booked on its own: choose "Mastering" on the booking form and send your final stereo mix.
Will my master be ready for Spotify and Apple Music?
Yes. You get a WAV master (16- or 24-bit) ready for distribution, and a streaming-optimised version on request.
How long does mastering take?
The standard turnaround is 5 working days. Need it sooner? Say so on the booking form.
What's the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing balances the separate parts of a song (vocals, drums, bass, melodies) into one stereo track. Mastering then finishes that stereo track for release: overall tone, loudness and consistency across platforms.
Can I get mixing and mastering together?
Yes. Choose "Mixing + mastering" on the booking form. For independent artists that's £499 for the mix (25% off) plus £150 for the master, per song.
